UK membership joining/renewal

UK members please note: the ICA prefers payment by standing orders, online bank transfers or cheques in that order. You may use PayPal but it charges the ICA a fee for the transaction unless you pay it yourself.  If you pay by standing order please make an immediate one-off payment followed by annual payments starting on the first day of the following year.  The ICA bank account details are on this web page and also on the front inside cover of Concertina World.

All members joining or renewing membership by standing order or by electronic means such as online transfer (but not PayPal) should contact the Membership Secretary via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by post quoting the payment date, payment method, payment reference number, amount paid in English pounds, membership type and residence (e.g. Ordinary Membership, UK Resident), email and full postal addresses. This is currently the only way the ICA has of reliably knowing who has paid in this way. The bank statements give no details and are only received at monthly intervals. Emails should have as the subject: ICA Subscription for "Year" – "Your Name"

Non UK members joining/renewal

Non UK members should subscribe via PayPay in English Pounds.
Select your membership type, e.g. Ordinary Membership, USA Resident then click on "Subscribe" and follow the instructions. Please add your full name and address when using Paypal. If you do use another means of payment then see above regarding informing the Membership Secretary of it.

Confirmation of payment

Renewals
Those renewing by PayPay will receive an immediate confirmation email from PayPal itself. Those renewing by other forms of payment will have confirmation only through their own bank statements and will not receive an email from the ICA unless specifically requested, and then it could take up to six weeks as the ICA only gets monthly bank statements.

New Members
New members paying by PayPal will receive an immediate confirmation email from PayPal itself followed shortly by an email from the Membership Secretary confirming membership. Those paying by other means will receive confirmation of membership only after a completed application form has been received by the Membership Secretary along with evidence of payment either by email or post at the address given on this website under the Contact heading at the top of the home page. Following confirmation new members will receive a Welcome Pack comprising a Welcome Letter, membership card and some past issues of Concertina World and Music Supplement (in hard copy form whilst available). Any new member not receiving an acknowledgement within six weeks following payment should contact the Membership Secretary via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by post, quoting the payment date, payment method, payment reference number, amount paid in English pounds, membership type and residence (e.g. Ordinary Membership, USA Resident) and full name and address.
